Beef or Pork: What's the necessity?

Heard about students organizing some stupid event and some one fighting for a stupid cause??
Those students wanted Beef in their hostel. They say it is an economic food and tasty.
So here it is hurting hindu sentiments? Right?
Tomorrow if some person starts with Pork Eating Festival. Will that be good? Many Feel its tasty-so what?
So here its hurting Islam sentiments? Right?

If people are so educated to understand this ? Then why the hell should someone organize and waste the tears as well as teargas?

You want Beef or Pork? Go home and eat it.

We Indians are divided and ruled. Since 1847. Still dimag ka batti nahi jala.
We have different lifestyles across religions, creed and caste.

Foools.Stop over reacting to the situation,Try something good which can  give Harmony.
These fools who conducted the festival are clearly anti socials trying to spread hatred and create disharmony.
It seems that the students are no more interested in their studies rather interested in matters irrelevant to their goals. The university administration should maintain the ethics and standards while disseminating knowledge. It is very unfortunate that a section of the teaching faculty of OU are also involved in this unhealthy incidents. The Osmania University is one of the oldest temples of learning in the world. Its reputation should not be maligned by unethical practices by the faculty & students.
Beef eaters should eat beef where it is tolerated & not affront others by shamelessly holding"eating festivals" meant to provoke communal violence. Just visualize the after effects of holding a ' pork festival' in a country
where it is taboo! Freedom should be interpreted & practiced judiciously & not in a silly manner.
Now the latest news(just came in while I was writing this blogpost):1 dies in clash at Osmania University over beef festival

Remember when people in this country just died of hunger?
Compare this below photos..this makes you what you are.

Where are we going ahead???

Show a middle Finger to OSAMAbi

Excerpt from yahoonews India:

Osama bin Laden urged his children to go live peacefully in the West and get a university education his brother-in-law said in an interview published Sunday. Zakaria al-Sadah, the brother of bin Laden's Yemeni fifth wife Amal, told Britain's Sunday Times newspaper that the Saudi-born extremist believed his children "should not follow him down the road to jihad." He told his own children and grandchildren, 'Go to Europe and America and get a good education,'" al-Sadah told the Sunday Times.Al-Sadah said bin Laden told them, "You have to study, live in peace and don't do what I am doing or what I have done."

Bin Laden was killed in a commando raid in May 2011 by US Navy SEALS at a house in the garrison town of Abbottabad, northwest Pakistan, where he had been living for several years.Al-Sadah said that in November he had seen his sister for the first time since she was shot in the knee during the raid, and had since been allowed to have a number of meetings with her in the presence of guards. He said the three wives and nine children who were in the compound -- some are bin Laden's children and others are his grandchildren -- have been held for months in a three-room flat in Islamabad. They are guarded by Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) spy agency. The Sunday Times published what it said was the first photograph to show some of the young children from the compound: two sons and a daughter, and two grandsons and a granddaughter. The children were still traumatized after seeing the raid in which bin Laden died, al-Sadah said."These children have seen their father killed and they need a caring environment, not a prison -- whatever you think of their father and what he has done."

My views: Is this a new way to escape the BIG laden family from the hands of U.S? may be so... Now the Ladens want their children to be safe but don't care about foolish jihadists children who sacrificed their life for Holy JIHAD..Holy crap.. So when will the sense of common sense enter the mind of common people among the Taliban who still think JIHAD is godliness. This statement by Bin Laden gives you a new meaning to "Do as I say: but not as I do." Once again I say Holy Crap!"

When no choice becomes your only choice.

For as long as I can remember I have had a choice.
Weetabix or toast for breakfast?
Toast?
Would you like promite or honey on it?
This school bag or that one or even that one?
Music or sport?
Art or music or legal studies or history or geography?
This boyfriend or that one?
Stay in my home town or move away to study?
Will you marry me?
Kids now or later?
I can't say I ever really thought about having a choice. It was just always there.
My inalienable right.
I need to tell you something blush worthy - more than blush worthy really - tomato red stained shame.
I didn't have much of an outward focus for a long time.
I was that person who would watch the news and see people living in poverty and think to myself, poor things, then forget all about them. I'd see a photo of a teenage girl begging on the street holding a tiny infant in a dirty ripped singlet and no pants and admire the impact of the image rather than wonder about the girl.
Well, it's not like I could save them all right?!
But then something happened. I traveled overseas. First to India. Then to the Philippines.
SLAP.
Fair across my left cheek then back across my right.
I have seen a family living under a single sheet of rusted corrugated iron on the side of the road. I met their son. He was healthy when I met him. Chubby, happy and going to live with his forever family in Sweden. When he originally left his corrugated iron shelter he was malnourished. Skin, bones and sores.
Come on people - get a job, feed your son something decent.
No.
Why?
Because there is no work where they live. Not a lack of choice between jobs. No job at all.
and
no job means no food.
No food means feed your baby son the water drained from the family's tiny portion of rice. Rice water in place of milk means no nourishment.
Well, why didn't you breastfeed your baby son?? Breast is best!
No job means no food which means no nourishment which means no breast milk which leaves no choice but to give him rice water.
Skinnier and skinnier he grows until there becomes only one choice.
Lack of choice became that families only choice for their son.
Sign a voluntary deed of commitment so that he can be raised by a family with plenty.
I could never give my child away.
What if you had no choice and that became your only choice?
I was taken into a small concrete hut  less than two months ago.
We didn't know why we were going in there - just that someone thought we may be able to help.
SLAP SLAP.
A ten year old girl lying on a bed. Emaciated. Eyes rolling rhythmically in her head. The photo on the wall showed her five months earlier - healthy and smiling - part of the family photo.
She knew we were there as she would look for us when her eyes were forward. She squeezed Pauline's hand as we talked with her mother.
She had been tested for meningitis but that came back negative. The mothers choice? Well, have her hospitalised, keep testing and trying to get an answer and bring her back to health - no expense spared - except - the family is poor
and their only choice became no choice and so she lays at home dying.
I urge you
don't leave it to the do -gooders
or say 'that's not my thing'
because you have got a choice.
